Mayor Katy Woodall
Katy Woodall became the first female Mayor of the Town of Fyffe on November 3, 2008. Mayor Woodall is a life-long resident of the area. She attended Fyffe High School and holds a B.S. degree from Jacksonville State University. She also earned a M.A. Degree and AA Certificate from the University of Alabama. She taught fifth and sixth grade at Fyffe School for 25 years. After retirement in 1995, She and her husband, Bobby, operated a thrift store for several years.
Mayor Woodall believes that she has the necessary qualifications for being a successful mayor. Through the years of teaching school and operating a business in Fyffe, she has had the opportunity to know almost everyone in town on a first-name basis. She understands the concerns of a small town and is eager to see the community to grow and prosper. She hopes to continue the accomplishments of previous administrations and see further developments in the town.
Mayor Woodall encourages the citizens in Fyffe to become interested in and involved in local government. She reminds the townspeople that she is always available to listen to any concerns they may have. She believes that the first priority of her office is to serve the people that she represents. She invites all citizens to come by town hall and visit with her.
