Fyffe Police Department
Fyffe is a small town but has highly trained Police personnel on duty to help keep law and order in our great town.

Jake Fowler: A life-long resident of the Fyffe area is the town’s Chief of Police. He attended both Fyffe Elementary and Fyffe High Schools before graduating in 1990. He also attended Northeast Alabama State Jr. College and Jacksonville State University.
He began his career in law enforcement in 1995 as a Jailer for the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. He later worked for the Rainsville Police Department and after working as an officer with them, he rejoined the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office in late 2000 as a School Resource Officer for Fyffe School.
After a cutback of School Resource Officers in the DeKalb school system. He began work for the Guntersville, Alabama Police Department. He joined the Fyffe Police Department in March of 2004. He has many successful years in law enforcement.
He was named Chief of Police by Mayor Larry Lingerfelt and the town council in early 2005.

- PPCT Certified SHARPS Instructor
- Certified DARE Officer
- National Certified School Resource Officer
- 40 Hour Alabama Certified Law Enforcement Executive Training
Neil Anderson: He is originally from Texas, but has lived in the area for several years. Neil attended the Police Academy in Jacksonville and graduated in 2004. He is very vigilant in his position as a police officer for the town. Officer Anderson has taken $40,000 worth of Ice off the street at a random stop. He also has nabbed a Nevada sex offender.
Mitch Rainer: Who is originally from Sand Mountain has been in police work for more than 10 years with different departments in the area. Mitch is very experienced and it reflects in the way he performs his duty on a daily basis. He has been with the Fyffe Police Department for more than two years.
Clayborn Simpson: A life-long resident of DeKalb County works part-time. He has worked many years with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department and with the District Attorney’s Office. He brings many years of investigative experience to the Fyffe Police Department.
