Mayor Pro Tem Councilman William “Bill” Potter
Bill Potter is a life long resident of the Fyffe area. Councilman Potter graduated from Fyffe High School in 1988. He began working for the Town of Fyffe on a part time basis in June of 1988. In September 1990 he went to work full time dispatching for the Fyffe Police Department until 1998. While dispatching he also served with the Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad from 1990 to 1994.
Councilman Potter has served as a member of the Fyffe Council since 2004, and was appointed as Pro Tem of the current administration in November 2008.
Some of Councilman Potter’s other contributions to the Town include:
- He served on the original UFO Day Committee
- Served as the Park Director during the extensive renovations to the Town’s Park.
- Brought before the Mayor and Council the need for a public storm shelter.
- Brought before the Mayor and Council the need for the flashing lights in the School Zone.
Councilman Potter feels honored to have served the Town all these years and is very optimistic about the future of the Town.
